Melbourne Airport to Parkville Travel Information
Parkville is about 20 km by road from Melbourne Airport, one of the closest inner city suburbs. Most transfers follow the Tullamarine Freeway (M2) and CityLink, then leave CityLink at Flemington Road, which leads straight to the hospital precinct. The last few minutes depend on where you are going, such as a hospital entrance, the university or the zoo in Royal Park.
Typical Travel Time
Allow about 20 minutes in normal traffic. Weekday peak hours can add 15 minutes or more.
Busy Traffic Periods
Traffic on the Tullamarine Freeway, CityLink and Flemington Road is heaviest on weekday mornings and evenings. The hospital precinct is busy at most hours, and events in Royal Park can also slow local roads, so your chauffeur checks live traffic and adjusts the route.
